Golden Riverside Cycling Path
 

Recently, due to the increasing of leisure time, enhancement of national income, convenience of transportation and high pressure of life make Taiwanese people need more leisure activities. Additionally, with the recent emerging of the concept of sustainable transportation and the growing public awareness on leisure life, such transportation mode as bicycle, with its characteristics of human-oriented, green (low pollution, and energy consumption), low user cost, leisure and LOHAS, has gained more attention and hence make cycling has chosen by more and more people in Taiwan as the mode for commute and leisure activities. Currently, there have already been totally installed 210 km long riverside cycling paths in Taipei County and Taipei City. Among these cycling paths, the "Golden Riverside Cycling Path", with a total length of 12 km, is one of the most popular cycling paths in the Greater Taipei area.

Qingshui Temple
 

Danshui Qingshuiyan Temple is located at 87, Qingshui Street, Danshui District, New Taipei City, Taiwan. Built in 1937. It mainly worships Qingshui ancestor of Anxi, a monk in southern Fujian. It is a Buddhist ancestor temple that has been greatly influenced by Taoism and Taiwan’s folk beliefs. It is the center of faith in Tamshui. Every year on the 5th and 6th day of the lunar calendar, the pilgrimage celebration will be held and is commonly known as a big festival of worship and a great event in Tamshui.

Douglas Lapraik & Co Museum
 

Traveling to Tamsui is not just shopping in the old streets. You can also visit the monuments of Tamsui and the culture which will give you a deeper understanding of Tamsui. You can grasp a different memory than the average traveler by taking a visit to Douglas Lapraik & Co Museum where is located at the end of Tamsui Old Street. The restoration of the building was completed in March 2013. Douglas Lapraik & Co is very well-known as one of heritage Museums in Tamsui and open for free.

Tamshuei River Mangrove Wetland Reserve
 

Tamshuei Mangrove Nature Reserve is an area for the Kandelia. Walking through the elevated wooden walkway, you can have a close look at the unique Kandelia fetus reproduction method.
The muddy wetland was created by the intersection of the river and marine where the mangrove habitat is located. It is also the winter resting place for the waterfowl and habitat for all kinds of fishes, shrimps, and crabs. Because the Datun Mountain blocks the north east wind, this place is warm during the winter season which attracts hundreds of birds to rest here in the winter. Along the walking wooden path in the reservation area, Chinese and English tour signs are available for visitors to get information on Kandelia, Waterfowl, and Fiddler Crab.
